Pastoral Council Meeting May 6, 2021

Call to Order: 7:01p - Meeting called to order with an opening prayer by Fr. Khoi.
Upcoming Matters
Parish Budgets
Father Khoi and Corrine are currently working on the budget.
St. Jude Thaddeus is financially healthy.
Father continues to slowly build up the operations account.
Graduation Recognition - Sunday, May 23rd
• Father will purchase gift cards for graduates. • Graduation announcement will be placed in the bulletin. • Graduates are as follows:
St. Jude - Ashtyn Belanger, George Chewens, Jr., A.J. Miller, Matthew Meyers
Christ the King – Johnny Schultz
St. Paul – Lauren Thomas
First Communion
First Communion will take place on Sunday, May 30th at Christ the King and St. Jude Thaddeus.
Mother’s Day - Sunday, May 9th
The Knights of Columbus will be passing out flowers to all mothers who attend Mass.
Thanksgiving Mass
Father Linh Nguyen will be here to celebrate a Thanksgiving Mass at all three parishes on June 20th.
Pastoral Transition
Father Khoi’s last weekend here is June 26th and 27th, and Father Moreno will move into the rectory on June 29th.
Father Khoi is in the process of arranging a few maintenance updates at the rectory, in preparation for Father Moreno’s arrival.
Mamie will clean the rectory on June 28th.
Paul Knox will address cracks in the walls.
Awnings will be placed over the front bedroom windows.
Kelly Propane will fill the propane tank.
There are one or two small maintenance projects that Father Moreno can address when he arrives, one being the color of paint he would like in the rectory.
Parish Service Project
We will have a Baby Shower benefitting ‘The Center’ (Pregnancy Care Center).
Details will be placed in the bulletin at the end of May.
We will gather donated items for the first two weeks of June.
Donated items will be delivered to The Center, the week of June 14th.
Joint Pastoral Finance Council Meeting
The next Joint Pastoral Finance Council Meeting will take place on Thursday, June 3rd at 7:00p.
Questions, Remarks, Suggestions, and Comments
Father Khoi made a tentative plan on the parish calendar for July 10th and 11th, as dates to plan an official welcome for Father Moreno.
Father Khoi suggested we begin to talk about the Fall Festival.
Michael Richter asked if the parish would have a summer picnic. Dave indicated the going away party for Father Khoi will be the time we gather as a parish, instead of having a picnic as a separate event.
