Our ParishChrist the King Catholic Church in Iowa Park was established in 1980. Church construction was completed on December 18, 1988; before that, the parish hall served as a multi-function church and parish center. Christ the King has faithfully served the local Catholic community since its inception and continues to be a welcoming, vibrant church today.
Our ChallengeWe strive to be faithful stewards of your financial contributions. Over the years, countless families have worshiped, prayed, celebrated and mourned together. As our buildings age, our capital needs have grown beyond what can be covered in the parish operating budget. With your help, these updates will allow us to continue to serve you and your loved ones into the future.
Our SolutionThrough prayerful consideration, input from the pastoral advisory council, and responses to parishioner surveys, Christ the King Parish will embark on a 3-year capital campaign, Breathe New Life, to address these concerns. We first need to replace the HVAC for the parish hall. Next, we will update the sanctuary by removing the defunct baptismal font, expanding the usable area to eliminate dangerous drop-offs, and refreshing the flooring. Finally, we plan to establish a building endowment to provide funds for ongoing maintenance and future projects. Our goal for the 3-year time period is $150,000.
