I. Linda Gibson gave an update on Parish Directory. 100 families have signed up. She presented the background options and cover ideas. Fr. Khoi continues to ask for pictures of events from around the Parish to be sent to Susan Tugman.
II. Family Funday will be June 10 at Permian Park for a cookout, and then we will have use of the water park.
III. VBS June 11-15, 6-8:30. Will decorate the week before starting June 1.
This year will expand to 6th graders as VBS participants. Will be using an all-Catholic Program this year. Keith Myers will donate the sign that goes outside the church. Will start asking for donations the middle of May.
IV. Youth summer schedule:
They will meet weekly thru May till May 23, then twice monthly during June, July, and August. Activities planned are:
Fun: Kids will go to the water park in Wichita Falls, go bowling, and go to the Family Fun Center in Burkburnett.
Service Project: Students will work at Grace Ministries, organize a sock and underwear collections, and do lawn service for those who are unable.
Fundraiser: They will have a car wash, and sell snow cones.
Carmen is working with Keith Myers to purchase t-shirts for the youth.
V. Fall Festival: Will be October 28, 2018, and Mike Richter will be the Chairperson.
VI. The Dioceses is celebrating its 50th anniversary. They have put together a 50th anniversary book with all 90 parishes and their history. They are selling books for $35 a piece. The Pastoral Council has approved the purchase of the 50th anniversary of the Fort Worth Dioceses Pictorial Book.
VII. St. Jude will participate in The Grace Ministry Canned Food drive April 28 - May 6. Greg will ask for a list of what they need.
VIII. FYI / Upcoming Events:
May 6, 8-10 am Knights will have a Mother’s Day Breakfast.
April 15-20 Fr. will be on a retreat in Colorado.
April 30-May 2 all priests from Dioceses will have a meeting with the Bishop in Frisco, TX.
May 11-May 15 Fr. will be going to Guatemala.
XI. Fr. Khoi reported he’s since February he’s been putting at least $500 into maintenance savings. In April Fr. Khoi put $2,000 in. He will continue putting in at least $500 per month until the end of the fiscal year.
A joint meeting with Finance Council will be held Thursday, May 24 @ 7:00PM.
Parish cleanup day will be April 21, starting at 9:00AM.
