Present: Suzan Tugman, Tom Peoples, Heather Whited, Susie Nix, Mike Richter, Tammy Gerstner, Dave Poole, Fr. Khoi
The meeting was called to order at 7pm with a prayer by Fr. Khoi.
Fr. Khoi gave information from the Comptroller of the Diocese: The final payment on the parish hall loan was made. The Comptroller will send an email as to what is left in the Advancement Foundation account. That final amount will be taxed and moved to the General Savings account.
We will put a notice in the bulletin for the next four weeks informing the parishioners that funds remaining in the Advancement Foundation / Building Fund account will be transferred into the general fund account. The statement will be formulated in consultation with the Finance Council. Parishioners are welcome to go to Fr. Khoi will any questions.
All building fund envelope monies received will now be taxed. Fr. Khoi proposes to use those donations for maintenance purposes.
Due to the wear and condition of the carpeting in the Education Building classrooms, Fr. Khoi received bids to redo the flooring.
Bid 1: $12,000-$15,000 for laminate flooring.
Bid 2: $9,500-$11,000 for laminate flooring
Bid 3: $8,900-$10,000 for VCT flooring.
After discussion, the Council voted unanimously to replace the old flooring with VCT flooring.
