Adult Faith Formation
We have weekly adult faith formation sessions at all both Christ the King and St. Jude Thaddeus. We use these times to study, reflect, and pray with the Scripture and Church teaching, so to deepen our faith. They are also opportunities for fellowship, as half of the hour will consist of small-group discussion and large-group sharing.
R.C.I.A. - Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
he Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is a process for welcoming new members into the Catholic Church, for non-Catholic spouses/prospective spouses of Catholics to learn more about our faith, and for deepening the faith understanding of already-initiated Catholics.
The RCIA is a community journey leading to a transformation of mind and spirit; a personal journey in which participants re-examine their relationship with God. Guided by the Gospel and encouraged by the welcome of church members, newcomers find their place in the community of believers.
The sessions meet once a week beginning in August, and conclude with the celebration of the Sacraments of Initiation during the Easter Vigil Mass for those who are ready to recieve them of their own choice.
We meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30 PM in the Church Upper Room at Christ the King and in the Education Center at St. Jude Thaddeus.
